Individuals Psychotherapy & The Value of Skype

!
Serge is not a traditional Psychotherapist, as he believes that approaches which solely aim to ‘fix wounded personalities’, and which do not   also go deeper and address the health of a person’s heart and soul life, are simply akin to re-arranging the furniture in a prison cell!

He feels that many people today require a much deeper healing, which means that they learn to evolve out of their old restrictive ‘boxes of normality’ and  start to embrace higher states of consciousness. As a practitioner of a Psychotherapy entitled Deep Memory Therapy (DMP), which recognises that many of us may  also be carrying wounds either from Past Lives or which pertain to ‘Species Man’, he believes an approach which only addresses a person’s biographical history as being the sole source of their difficulties, is therefore inherently limited.

So while Serge works with all the issues that beset people who ordinarily go into Psychotherapy - i.e., depression, anxiety, difficulties in relationships, self esteem problems, fear of failure and success, Narcissistic and Borderline personality disorders, etc - he does so from a perspective of realising that these issues are much more likely to clear up as a person also focuses on their evolution as a human being. To this end, he believes that  the aim of therapy ought to be to help a person  become more  human and more whole, and this in turn, will probably imply that they will need guiding both into the higher and the lower reaches of their human nature. As such, he views all the trainings and courses which he teaches, as being essentially therapeutic  and  wholly complimentary to his individual work, as they deal with the deeper aspects of a person’s life and thus open up a space for deeper healings to take place.

Since, in the therapeutic relationship, having a ‘good fit’ is very important, when Serge works with a new client for the first time, if that client does not feel that he has gained from the experience, he need not pay anything.

SKYPE is a valuable tool in the whole therapeutic process, as today, so many of us move all around the world, and this means that the therapeutic relationship need not be interrupted.

  • Yes, it is not as good as being in the same room with another person, but it is still pretty good! Today, Serge works regularly with individuals and couples from all over the world.
..............The biggest challenge, he finds, is getting the time zones correct!

Couples Psychotherapy

!
As we are living in times of great change, many couples are finding that their ‘old ways’ of conducting their relationships no longer work, and often they simply need to learn new skills to take their relationship to a higher level.  Here, Serge’s CD, ‘Bringing Soul into Relationships’, has been helpful to many couples for this purpose.

However,  since  very often, much deeper  and more complex issues can arise in a relationship (Kahil Gibran told us that ‘Love brings up everything that it isn’t!’), couples can  often find themselves acting out very painful scenarios with each other, as a result of a collusion of deep  emotional wounds, which they tend to be unconscious of. When this occurs, love can easily turn sour, and as  neither side can understand what is  really going on and as there is such a tendency in us to refuse to acknowledge the ‘mote in their own eye’,  and instead, to blame the other, many couples break up.

Just as in the world of International Relations,  where a conflict between two nations can  often only be resolved when a third country steps in to play the role of mediator or peace keeper, so  Serge will often play a similar role as  a Couples Therapist, and over the years, has had considerable success in rescuing relationships poised on the edge of totals break up. So long as both parties are on ‘the same side’ and  are united in wanting their relationship to work, Serge will often work with both of them individually, at the same time as seeing them as a couple.

As the issue of having a ‘good fit’ between client and therapist is  again so important, if,  after meeting with Serge for the first time, the couple feel they have not benefited from the exchange and that Serge is not right for them, they are not required to pay him anything.

  • Serge  finds that the SKYPE approach works very well with couples, not least because it forces them to sit closer together, in order to get into the picture!
