Brief explanation:
I am increasingly focusing on the theme of longer programmes and week-long retreats, as I feel that with our world becoming ever crazier and more dangerous (some believe humanity is currently going through a kind of collective ‘dark night of the soul’) that it is becoming ever more imperative not merely that we get our inner life in ‘better shape,’ but also that we begin to think in terms of ‘growing our spirituality, i.e., working at becoming more fully human! Our planet, if it is to survive, needs a lot more humanity from a lot of us!
And here, Psychotherapy alone is not enough. Yes, it may help us have more self-esteem, be better at relationships and feel clearer with our parents. But there is no guarantee that should we use this new freedom to deepen our soul life that our humanity will necessarily develop more as a result. That is up to us. Also, going to the odd ‘spiritual workshop’ or occasionally reading some ‘spiritual book’ by some great sage, or thinking ‘It would be nice to be a kinder and more loving person’, is not really sufficient to put us on a spiritual path in a genuine way. It is still too much on the surface.
What is required, I believe, and what, in a small way, I try to offer here, is something more enduring. I believe that in order to evolve, we need to be able to remain in a ‘spiritual field’ for longer periods of time. This gives us more time and space to explore how best we can access our deeper nature. And these fields can emerge if groups of well-intentioned people come together with such an aim in their hearts.
As such, I am committed not just in helping you feel better but also to be better - to find your own way of drawing closer to what is more real. And I promise you this: the more peace and courage you discover inside your heart, the happier you will feel, and the more able you will be to feel strong and positive even when life doesn’t go your way!
However, all this takes time and commitment. Just as if we want to learn a new language or succeed in our business, we need to work at it, so the same holds true for our spiritual life. I thus encourage you to think that it is as important to earn a good ‘inner living’ as it is to earn a good outer one!
If you feel that any of these courses interest you, I would be happy to meet with you or talk on the phone.
