I have now been conducting retreats in Majorca for ten years and the emphasis, as always, is on the ‘Via Positiva’, that is, on a heart-centred Spirituality focussed on Love, Joy and Abundance. Going on retreat is so important, given the stressful world we all live in, as it allows us to rest from our busy lives and re-connect with the inner, creative, gentler and subtler aspects of ourselves that all too often, get covered up.
I particularly like to do my retreats in Majorca, because the island has great healing qualities, and I always choose the summer, as it is much easier to touch into the ‘natural goodness of life’ when the sun is shining and there are beautiful beaches to be enjoyed! The ‘Natural Magic ‘ which participants tune into, is for me, so much more real than anything that goes on in the world of Harry Potter!
What is also important on these courses, is our relationship with our fellow ‘retreat-ees’ and enjoying their company. Over the years, many new and lasting friendships have flowered. At the end of the week, people return home subtly changed, inspired and refreshed, having touched into new possibilities for being more creatively alive, and armed with tools to support them to live in a more conscious and empowered way.
The retreats follow the basic format of a morning Meditation (voluntary) before a large breakfast; meeting as a group until lunch (which is light), spending most of the afternoon enjoying the island ( we may visit sacred sites, go to the beach or even go bicycling!), gathering to meditate again just before dinner, after which, if we don’t go out, we gather again for a final evening session. We have an excellent chef and the cuisine is local Majorcan food. Wine is served at dinner. If you have special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance.
For both retreats, I suggest you arrive by 4pm on the first Saturday and try to leave around lunchtime on the last one. You fly to Palma airport. I recommend EasyJet and that you book as soon as possible to get the cheapest flights.
The fee for the week is £570, which excludes two meals which we will eat out as a group. If you are non-resident, the fee is £460. If you are low-waged, you may receive a reduction. If you have already done a retreat with me, you will pay £50 less.
